Fold & Form: The inside story on pipe repair.

Fold and Form PVC-A is an environmentally friendly structural pipe lining system that rehabilitates aging culverts and sewers from the inside out. A tight-fitting PVC-Alloy liner is steam-softened, pulled through the host pipe, then inflated and cooled to form a brand-new pipe within the existing one.

It isn’t a resin or a chemical cure. It’s a factory-produced PVC-Alloy pipe that permanently takes over the structural job of your old pipe, and its smooth interior wall actually improves flow over the original.

Fold and Form provides the flexibility you need. It is compatible with clay, brick, concrete, steel culvert, PVC, cast iron, and ductile iron. It can be installed in a variety of pipe sizes, from 100 mm to 1,200 mm (4" to 48") in diameter, and in lengths of up to 100 m (330’).

From the first look to the final check, one team handles the whole job.

  • 01. Inspect & prepare

    Inspect the pipe to assess its condition and size the liner, then clean and prepare the pipe for liner installation.

  • 02. Warm & pull through

    Steam softens the PVC-A liner, and a winch pulls it through the host pipe at 15-45 m/min.

  • 03. Form & set

    Steam and air pressure press the liner tight against the pipe wall. Cold air then hardens it into its final shape.

  • 04. Verify & finish

    We inspect the finished liner by CCTV and confirm the fit before reinstating laterals.

Our crew relined 70 feet of 15-inch culvert in under a day with a six-person team, and the road stayed open the whole time. The before and after says it all: a rough, corroded culvert becomes a smooth, structural new pipe.

Spot on repairs for your pipes.

Spot repair, or point repair lining, is a resin and patch system that adheres to the inside of a pipe to fix structural defects and prevent further damage to pipe. This restores a pipe’s functionality without the need for excavation, offering a non-intrusive, environmentally friendly solution. At Wessuc, we use a UV Light Cured In Place Pipe system which uses UV light to cure the resin. The UV CIPP System has a cure time of 8 minutes.

A spot repair is used when the integrity of a pipe is compromised by a defect. Applying a spot repair will increase the longevity of a pipe and lower its risk of failure. Spot repair goes hand in hand with cutting and grouting.

What is grouting?

Grouting is the use of a chemical sealant to stop pipeline leaks and infiltration, while also preventing erosion around the outside of a pipe. This preventative maintenance can protect sewers from further infiltration, water level sags, holes, sink holes, and more.

Why grout?

Water infiltration reduces the wastewater system capacity for treating sewage, by processing unwanted ground water instead. Preventing infiltration reduces the plant loading and effluent discharge volume.

Grouting and spot repair go hand in hand. Any infiltration needs to be stopped before spot repair is done. If leaks are still active they create a bubble or wrinkle in the liner.
