In a highly hazardous and competitive industry, safety is an investment that consistently delivers real benefits. A safe work environment helps to keep skilled employees on the job and keep projects on track. Accidents that could result in injuries and schedule delays can also be reduced.
We are proud to say our company works in the safest manner possible. Our top priority is the safety of the general public, our employees and other contractors on our worksites. Each operation must meet or exceed safety standards, and no work is performed without safeguards in place and careful planning.
In October 2018, Wessuc’s approach to safety granted us the privilege to proudly display the COR™ logo on anything we do. The Certificate of Recognition (COR™) is nationally trademarked and endorsed by participating members of the Canadian Federation of Construction Safety Associations (CFCSA) of which the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA) is a member. It provides employers with an effective tool to assess their health and safety management system.
COR™ is aimed at driving positive workplace behavior and practices that lead to improved performance. It is currently being used across Canada and is a pre-qualification requirement for many contractors working in and out of the province and on public and private-sector projects.
This stringent program ensures the highest level of safety is maintained including incident tracking, risk assessment, worksite inspection, employee training, continuing education, accurate record keeping, and outreach. This approach extends to the selection of subcontractors who must also embrace a strong safety ethic.
Every day, our goal is nothing less than zero accidents and injuries. Our mindset is safety, first and always – No One Gets Hurt.
